Some may still be more cost effective held here on Earth in different chambers that mimic weightlessness and are able to produce a vacuum, but many will be able to conducted that were impossible to do previously. One commercial undertaking that may be of interest to many is products delivered to space stations.
While NASA is experiencing cuts, the complete dismantling of the program has not happened. Space station technicians still live on the space station, and many are needed to perform maintenance on the thousands of satellites providing signals to the billions of devices dependent on them around the world.
